On July 7, 2025, Robyn Severance Lopez walked out of Lake County Jail after posting a $400,000 bond in her conspiracy-to-commit-racketeering case. Held in protective custody for 23 hours a day, she’s now back home under GPS monitoring—welcomed by her attorney as she reunites with her child.
Charged alongside her estranged husband in an alleged multimillion-dollar illegal gambling ring, prosecutors say Robyn moved “tens of thousands” of dollars following Marcos Lopez’s arrest—receipts totaling as much as $177,000 were found in her possession.
Her defense team, however, successfully traced $380,000 of the bond to legitimate sources and, after submitting certified checks and bank records, convinced a judge to approve the remaining funds. She will now live at home with strict conditions: GPS monitoring, surrendered passport, and no contact with her husband.
Attorney Rose notes this case is a legal marathon: “With multiple defendants, discovery will become a logjam … and could drag on for years.” Spectrum News 13
